Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's soccer team recorded a pair of 6-0 triumphs over MacMurray College and Oberlin College this weekend to improve its record to 3-2 on the season. The Grizzlies have tallied six goals in three consecutive matches.

Junior Kayla Dragstrem (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg) scored the first two goals of the match against Oberlin. She also added an assist on Benham's last goal in the home triumph. Dragstrem has scored five goals for the season.

At MacMurray on Saturday, the Grizzlies held a commanding 32-1 shot advantage and scored four first-half goals. Dragstrem scored off a free kick from 30 yards away from the goal in the ninth minute. Franklin scored three goals in a three-minute span, with tallies by Benham and sophomore Marci Black (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) coming within a 20-second span.

Then, on Sunday, Dragstrem found the back of the net in the 18th minute, off Benham's corner kick, and a free kick just outside the 18-yard box in the 30th minute to give the hosts a 2-0 advantage.

Franklin scored four goals in the second half, including three within a seven-minute period. Sophomore Emma Hagist (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) chipped a goal over the Oberlin goalkeeper, after a pass from junior Hayley Kemp (Avon, Ind./Avon), in the 57th minute. Benham scored the first of her three goals two minutes later.
