Women’s Lacrosse Records First Win of Season, Defeats Rose-Hulman
Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College women's lacrosse team had five players score multiple goals in a 23-4 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's club team on Saturday from Faught Stadium. The win was the first of the season for the Grizzlies.
Sophomore Presleigh Hobbs (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) led the offensive attack with six goals and two assists. Freshman Taylor Tichenor (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) also found the back of the net six times, and had three assists and won six draws to help Franklin gain possession in the match.
Sophomore Carly Campbell (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) added five goals and two assists. Classmate Paige Clark (Jefferson, Ohio/Jefferson Area) had a team-high five assists and won a game-high 11 draws.
Freshman Kay Wolter made six saves in goal.
The Grizzlies return to action in their season finale against Wilmington College on Wednesday, April 9 at 7 p.m. from Faught Stadium.
