Men’s Tennis Loses at Wabash

Crawfordsville, Ind. - Franklin College's No. 1 doubles tandem of junior Ryan Hammer (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood) and freshman Ethan Caldwell (Terre Haute, Ind./Terre Haute North) led the men's tennis team in an 8-1 loss at Wabash College on Wednesday.

Hammer and Caldwell earned an 8-5 victory over Wabash's Michael Makio and Nate Koelper. The duo has won both doubles matches this season.

Senior Jared Hunt (New Whiteland, Ind./Whiteland Community) dropped a three-set singles match at the No. 6 position. He forced the third-set tiebreaker with a 6-4 score in the second set. Wabash's Nathan Neal won the deciding set 10-5.

Franklin opens Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Sunday, March 2 at 4:30 p.m. at Defiance College.
